If you are crazy enough (Like I am), you would definitely want to try this. These bags are somewhat “trusty”. I bought a new digital camera and a new mobile phone last year when I went to the beach. Bought one of these bags (Different brand though).

First, I tested it in the sink. I slipped a peice of paper inside and dunked the bag for 3 to 4 minutes. Hey! It is worth the wait. Only a few minutes to know if it can be trusted or not. After that, to do beach I go! Listening, mp3’s, taking photos in, on, under, wherever in the water!

I like this. A bag for the PSP. Cool! > More Gadgets

Real Racers Actually Use Gran Turismo To Train

http://www.psxextreme.com/wallpapers/psp/Gran-Turismo-4-02.jpg

Yup. They do. According to jgadgets.com,

“Formula 1 racing drivers such as Toyota’s Jarno Trulli and BMW’s Kazuki Nakajima have been seen practicing in front of a console. Whenever a new track comes onto the racing calendar, like Fuji Speedway did last October after a 30-year absence, and drivers cannot get there to practice for real, many fire up “Gran Turismo.” They say it’s the only way to memorize the track layout and braking markers — the points where you must start killing the speed to take an upcoming corner.”

Now while that’s impressive on its own, the next bit this interview presents is even more incredible. Apparently GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi clocked over 1,000 laps on a famous German track and then had a go at it in real life. In his first 12 laps he was driving at 90% capacity and after a few more he was clocking times that rivaled that of the pack. This test and interview definitely shows that Gran Turismo has finally come of age as more than a game and can be considered a real-life simulator.

Here’s one more test that will boggle the mind:

“And how did Yamauchi do in his first race driving the Mazda MX-5? Not bad at all. Having done more than 2,000 laps of the Tsukuba Circuit in his game, Yamauchi only needed a dozen laps of real-world driving before he was clocking the same times as the rest of the field — many of whom had been circling that track regularly for years. But then, as I mentioned, Yamauchi is a good driver. The same year, he was only 0.4 secs behind Loeb’s best Le Mans lap time when they battled it out on “Gran Turismo” at maker Polyphony Digital’s Tokyo headquarters. “

PSP slim. Whats the BIG deal?

http://www.gamepro.com/gamepro/domestic/games/news/images/122128-2-1.jpg

So, What to expect in a Slimmer PSP? Cool

- It is actually not that slim but, it is slimmer, sleeker and looks better than the original PSP version.

- It has an AV output for video and game playback on TVs.

While it may not be a must-have upgrade for existing PSP owners, a host of subtle improvements make the latest Sony PSP (aka the PSP 2000) an even better deal for anyone looking for a solid portable gaming and multimedia device.

How do you discourage yourself from buying this gadget? Surprised

- Still, a Fingerprint magnet because of the glossy finish it has, like the original PSP.

-  Screen is still too reflective. (Thanks again to its glossy outer finish.)

- UMD load times still poky compared to Flash-based DS games.

- USB charging option is cumbersome

PSP, gameboy and other consoles, parents enemies to get their student to study, now a classroom ally.

http://metropolis.co.jp/xmg/520/520-T-Sony-PSP-small.jpg

In a growing number of cities, teachers hoping to engage children born in the fast-moving digital age are using game machines such as the Nintendo DS, the hugely popular double-screen handheld console, to draw in and hold students.

The strategy seems to be working in one Tokyo classroom, where students come for extra-curricular maths lessons each Saturday morning.

Saito Miyauchi, 12, approaches teacher Raita Hirai with a bashful smile as he holds up his DS screen. “That’s great!” the teacher tells him after Saito has topped the class by doing 45 multiplications in 15 minutes.

“I’ve quickly grown accustomed to this,” Saito says as he operates the machine with a touch pen.

Of the 26 students aged 12-14 who were advised to take the class to catch up with coursework, half showed up for the extra weekend session at the publicly funded Wada Junior High School.

Nana Watanabe’s face streams with perspiration as she studies. She heaves a sigh of relief as she says: “The badminton club keeps me busy. But with DS, I can study everywhere, and quickly.”

Volunteer instructor Kyoko Yamaguchi said she envied today’s children.

“This was totally unthinkable when my children were in school,” said Yamaguchi, whose three children graduated from Wada two decades ago.

Hirai, a veteran private tutor, says the game machines help ease the strain of repetitive lessons.

“It’s not our aim to make them study. The aim is to make them study by themselves,” he said.

Its actually, using the right technology at the right way. There are always two sides in a coin. Discipline and self-control is the first answer. and I also beleive that, those consoles releive stress.

  • loud. I mean, I never expected it to sound this loud

  • yes, there is a surround sound effect

Minus?

  • There are some cracking/popping sound at times. but this is explained in their website. check out their website in the FAQ section

  • Longer than a Sony PSP

  • No battery powered option

  • Big adaptor

Finale…

  • Looks like or better compared to a JBL in terms of design

  • Kicks JBL’s ass in terms of price. (The JBL on tour costs around 7 to 8 thousand pesos, while this baby, costs around 6thousand pesos.) in my case, I sell them for only 3,500 pesos. (Im selling it at aDiscounted price and I buy wholesale)

PSP Tv!?

It looks like Sony’s finally deemed it necessary to offer an updated version of Sega’s Game Gear TV tuner, with the company today announcing its 1seg TV tuner for the PlayStation Portable. That technological distinction of course means that the device won’t be making its way to North America (at least in its current form), but PSP users in Japan will soon be able to pick up some digital TV signals for the not unreasonable price of ¥6,980 (or about $57). There is a catch, however, in that the device is apparently only compatible with the new, slimmer PSP — hopefully not a sign of further things to come from Sony. If that’s not a deal-breaker for ya, you’ll be able to grab one on September 20th.
====================
Well, Too bad i bought the old PSP. they shouldve made this one compatible with both devices. anyway, if you are not getting the new psp and you want the tv attachment, samsung produced a mobile phone tv. you might also want to get that instead of this…

PSP - 12 Au dollars - Check it out!!!

Engadget reader Richard Heard came across this “PSP” in the Queen Victoria Markets, in Melbourne, Australia. The price: a mere AU$12 (US$9). Of course, this isn’t the first PSP clone we’ve seen, but it may win the award for the cheapest one to actually dare to include “PSP” in its branding. Just who do they think they’re fooling?
