To get an iPod Nano or what? I don’t know!

http://images.appleinsider.com/timecapsule1unbox-1.jpg
Okay, after craving for a time capsule (1TB) from Apple, I am now craving for an iPod. I never had actually owned one before. I only borrow from my friends. I’m such a loser in that department!

Now, hating all the CD’s in my car with uh, an I don’t know, 6-disc ghetto cd changer, I am now looking forward for a MP3 library in my ride.

Anyway, I am having trouble deciding on what to buy.

Should I get this pretty attractive newly released iPod Nano 4th gen chromatic?
http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/3958/nanoyb3.jpg

or an iPod touch because of the convenience of watching in a bigger screen with Wi-Fi?
http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/1016/touchyu2.jpg

or an iPhone -complete package with videos/mp3s/ phone in one?
http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/5929/iphonesg2.jpg

You may ask me, what do I really need. Here is the Scenario. I have the following portable gadgets right now:
Sony Ericsson P990i (personal use) and Sony Ericsson P910i (internet browsing)
The image “http://www.mobiletracker.net/live-reports/ces-2006/sony-ericsson-p990i/photos/full/p990i-3.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

Sony Ericsson M600i (collecting dust in the cabinet)

iPod Mini green 4gb(Not mine, borrowed from someone who doesn’t use it anymore)
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0f/Green_iPod_mini-2007-02-12.jpg

and a Nokia 6300 (for business use)
The image “http://handcellphone.com/wp-content/themes/green-marinee/phonepic/Nokia-6300-cell-phone-beijing-show-2.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I cannot sell all of those except for the Sony Ericsson M600i. The others was either given to me or subsidized (I paid a percentage. something like 50/50)

Now, the ulitmate question still remains unanswered. What gadget do you recommend for me to buy? This will be my first Apple product purchase if ever.

What gadgets does a tycoon use? (Part 14 of 15)

This is part 14 of the 15 people from the Wilson Lee Flores article in Philippine Star.

Atty. Felipe Gozon

The image “http://bgepal.com/images/BGE_pics_FLG.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

The current chief executive and chair of GMA Network Inc., one of the largest media networks in the Philippines.

A lawyer by profession, the Yale-educated Gozon is seen as the network executive who has successfully turned-around GMA from its state as the second-running television network to its current stature, at some point toppling the long-dominant ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation in 2004, 2005 and until today. Under his watch, the network has also experienced stability in terms of revenues, mostly from advertising and other revenue sources.

GADGETS

She uses a Nokia Communicator and a Macbook. The Nokia Communicator wasn’t specified but I am pretty sure it won’t be the old 9110, 9210 or the 9210i. It would be pretty much one of the newer ones like the Nokia 9300, 9300i, 9500 or the e90.

Her Macbook is for her to store music, audio books, seminars and photographs and used to transfer it to her iPod.

Her past laptop was an IBM thinkpad. She said that she chose the white laptop (Macbook) because her old one was a black colored lappy which she used for 5 years. Not bad!

Also, she purchased a Nikon d40 DSLR just last year and used it to take snapshots on her travel to Dubai, Las Vegas and Africa.

Bluetooth in your iPod.

iPod fan? Music Fan? Bluetooth Fan? or all of the above?

Yes! You can now mod your iPod using a flash-memory-modded 20GB 4G iPod, a Jabra A120S Bluetooth music adapter, some clever wiring, a little drilling, and some good old-fashioned elbow grease.

Unique Speakers For iPods, Laptops And More.

The Micropod SE Active

Even with a built-in active amplifier, Micropod SE Active is still curvy, colorful and compact. The Micropod SE Active series are perfect speakers for your small MP3 stereo or as the perfect sound system for your computer. A blasting amplifier supplies the kevlar bass/midrange unit and the soft dome tweeter the precise and crisp sound of digital music.

The Drop

The sound of the drop takes the best of the Scandyna technology —to reproduce superb sound quality and to make your listening experience a true blessing. With a selection of six powerful colors and with four different ways to place your speaker, you get a maximum of flexibility to choose from.

The Minipod

Superb sound quality while redefining conventional speaker aesthetics. The Minipod loudspeaker follows an organic design, where “form follows function”. Each characteristic of the design has a precise acoustical justification. The Minipod is essentially an amalgamation of three spheres to form one pressure-vessel, minimizing cabinet vibration, sound radiation and distortion, allowing sound waves to move more freely.

Seen the new iPod nano? Beware of fakes!

The first third-gen iPod nano fake we spotted was kind of low on details, so we’re glad to see YJL giving it to us straight here with the new U2-C player. Innovative features include MP4, MP3 and WMA playback, mass storage support (what a novel idea!), voice recording, “A-B repeat” and an FM tuner. Clearly the iPod nano can never hope to compete, but good try Apple, you’ll lick ‘em next time. No word on capacities or price, but these things can’t be far from eBayability.

Speaker review: first hand with the Banshee 5.0 surround speakers

Specs and photos here….http://www.bansheeaudio.com/the411.html

Now, for my review.

Plus!

  • Nice design, no joke!

  • crisp clear sound

  • loud. I mean, I never expected it to sound this loud

  • yes, there is a surround sound effect

Minus?

  • There are some cracking/popping sound at times. but this is explained in their website. check out their website in the FAQ section

  • Longer than a Sony PSP

  • No battery powered option

  • Big adaptor

Finale…

  • Looks like or better compared to a JBL in terms of design

  • Kicks JBL’s ass in terms of price. (The JBL on tour costs around 7 to 8 thousand pesos, while this baby, costs around 6thousand pesos.) in my case, I sell them for only 3,500 pesos. (Im selling it at aDiscounted price and I buy wholesale)

  • Can fill the whole room with sound!

  • Surround Sound system in just one unit!
