After the Christmas Vacation… I became an addict.

…let me clear myself first. I became a Wii addict!!!
http://image1.play-asia.com/170/69/pa.112854.1.jpg
I had no idea it was that addictive. When it was first released, I was like “oh, another game console. pfffftt. Big deal!” I never had a playstation 2 nor 3. We only have Playstation 1, a couple of gameboys and a PSP.

When I tried the Nintendo Wii, I first played the Wii Olympics. The first sport I tried was the “shooting” game, which I never played again after the first try. I liked the table tennis though.

What got me hooked was the Mario Kart. I’ve played that game on my laptop before using a Nintendo emulator but this one was really cool! Wii does really bring gaming up a few notches!

3 most awaited games this second half of 2008

A month or two ago, I’ve been excitdely waiting for the release of the Red Alert 3 as I’ve been a Red Alert junky ever since I was a kid. It’s now actually 11 days from release and my excitement level had become lesser and lesser because there are some other games I love that would be soon releasing new versions too.

Check out my 3 most awaited games to be released soon…

3. Red Alert 3

2. Need for Speed - Undercover

1. Fallout 3
Although I’ve only played one fallout version, this won’t stop me from waiting the release of the newest fallout 3. The trailer video is entertaining and ghetto enough to let my anticipation level soar!

Check out the video below…

Looks like I will be needing to reformat and upgrade my PC to accomodate these games because currently, my PC is soley for Grand Thef Auto: San Andreas only and I use my laptop for work.

Oh yea… How could I forget the new Grand Theft Auto IV? So that adds another one to my most awaited list. Maybe it’s time to also upgrade my laptop who can’t even play GTA:San Andreas.

No, it’s not a ghetto lappy.

These are the specs of my laptop and I won’t disclose the brand. I will give you a chance to guess it.
Intel Core 2 Duo
Wi-fi
Bluetooth
3 USB ports
Multi-card reader
Supermulti-drive
latchless
12 incher
Sata HDD 80gb
945GM chipset

Work wise, this laptop performs at par. Game wise, this laptop sucks because I can’t understand why I can’t even play Red Alert 2 here.

Check your concentration ability here!

http://www.israelcentersf.org/images/concentrate.jpg

How good are you at concentrating? Think you’re ok? Have a go at this quick test and find out for yourself.

Keep an eye on the box with the doll in it. When the boxes stop spinning, pick the correct box.

Easy enough? When things really start to speed up, you’ll need to pay close attention and concentrate.

There are seven levels in this test. Here’s a rundown of what they say about your concentration:

Level 1: Slower on the upkeep than the average person.
Level 2: Seriously, where are you looking?
Level 3: Wake up!
Level 4: You’re fairly average, you can do better.
Level 5: You’re slighty above average but I wouldn’t discount getting your eyes checked.
Level 6: Great focus just don’t blink.
Level 7: If the boss tells you to listen up just let him know how well you have done on this test/
Level 8: Who’s the little superstar?! A supermodel could walk through your door right now naked and you would still be able to remain focused.

Counter-Strike addicts - You can play against a thousand other players like a real war already!

This system allows people to play new fps games on a massive scale. We’re talking about hundreds to thousands of people all shooting at each other at the same time… Sound fun to you? Sounds fun to me!

This may lead to some questions, such as, Why aren’t the players who I am not focussing on lagging like crazy. This is fixed by another technique called “Guidable AI”

Guidable AI is a brilliant solution to this problem. At the most basic level, the Guidable AI emulates the people you are not focussed on in between the actual updates of the real player. Since this AI is locally being run, there will be no problems with bandwidth. Source (Click here for the video)

Wii Cook! No Wii!!!

brandowii.jpgIf you thought the Wii billiard attachment was ridiculous, check out the Wii Cooking Mama kit. It’s for the new Nintendo Wii game that lets you use the Wiimote to pretend to cook, and come with four attachments: frying pan, knife, fork and spatula.

Wii Cooking Mama

This won’t improve your actual or virtual cooking skills, but will make it all the more realistic when your girlfriend calls you a weirdo for playing this instead of actually helping out with dinner.
==========================================
This is a horrible game, must I say. Cant they do any better than this? id rather get all those sport accessories than this! What will they think of next??? Wii broom? Wii Dust pans and Mop? or Wii hammer and nail???

Virtual egg

Since easter sunday has just passed, i found an article relating to digital easter eggs. i didnt know that such existed even before i was born. They inserted easter eggs in Atari pitfall II game. anyway, easter eggs according to yehey.com article is “Unlike cheats, Easter eggs are more of hidden properties or extra content of games that can be revealed by button combinations or by accessing areas in the game or the disc itself.”
