FAQ: What Lens to Bring When Travelling?

http://gadgets.boingboing.net/nikon-d90-rumor.jpg
Of course, a camera is a needed gadget when travelling. Having a point and shoot camera won’t give you much choice but owning one of those pricey(but worth it) cameras, it will give you tons of choices!

Yes, this is one of the most common questions people ask regarding travelling and SLRs.

To tell you the truth, the answer differs because it all depends on what you would like to shoot. For instance, if you are shooting landscapes and sceneries, of course, the best choice would be the 10:20 lens.

If you are going to take pictures of people, I suggest you take the 24:70 f2.8 lens. This is an all-around lens and is recommended for shooting just about anything while travelling.

She does not want to lug around too many gadgets. She is using a Nokia e90 because she finds the keyboard useful. Besides, e90 would be good for surfing the net and checking mails as well as making calls and taking photos. What more can you ask for in such a small device?

New Sony “Hand Powered” Digital Camera

http://www.allegromedical.com/images/products/bionicglove1.jpg

Sony on Thursday unveiled a prototype digital camera shaped like a pizza cutter with a wheel that can be turned to generate enough power to take pictures.

The “Twirl N’ Take” camera generates enough electricity for one snap if the the wheel is moved for some 15 seconds, according to a Sony official.

A digital camera similar to those used in mobile phones is installed in a handle attached to the wheel, which is equipped with a power-generating device, she said.

Moving the wheel and taking pictures would appeal to children but the company has no immediate plan to commercialise it, she said.

Instant Messaging system with webcam driven 3d avatars! new!

Yehey Tol
Its a new instant messaging software that allows you to communicate to other people in other parts of the world using yehey tol or yahoo messenger. It was created for Filipinos by Filipinos. This is supposed to make Pinoys abroad feel more at home because of the pinoy themes like the nice and simple, PS Bank theme, Simple lang.
It has pinoy avatars, has unique names for avatars and a unique buzz sound. In yahoo messenger, the buzz is “Buzz”, but here, it is “pssst huy!” so Filipino, right?
Soon, they will release their latest version, the one with the webcam driven 3d avatars, in which, even yahoo doesn’t have yet. You may ask why they created this webcam driven 3d avatars when its better to see face to face. I think, the answer to that is, some people are shy to use the webcam and they want to express their feelings thru facial expressions. this is their purpose,i think.
by the way, for some who doesn’t know what webcam driven 3d avatars is, iv’e read from their FAQ that, its like using a webcam, but having a mask on. when you wink, the character winks, make sad face, the character looks sad and etc.. from what i read, thats what i understood.
so, im pretty excited now to use that latest technology.
if you want to know more, visit httP://www.yehey.com/tol
(you can download the software there for free)

Look alike?

At first when i saw the article, i thought it was a Sony Ericsson k800i, the 3.2 mp camera phone. but reading it further, it has the same 3.2mp camera phone but, this is called the k790i. i had bad experiences on my previous k750i phone (joystick wise), but this has a different appeal to me which makes me want to buy it. on my previous post, i thought of buying the 6300 but on second thought, i would still want another sony ericsson to partner with my p910i, which, i would change for the next few months since i cant decide or lets just say, there is no phone that i currently want to buy in exchange for this phone.
