Carnap on the rise - Philippines
A bishop’s sports utility vehicle was carnapped by still unidentified suspects while it was parked unattended Monday night in front of his house in Caloocan.
The police said the car, a white and silver 1993 model Mitsubishi Pajero (UHF-860), was stolen between 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. the next day at the corner of Gen. Tirona street and Malolos Avenue in Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City.

Internet Base Monitoring – monitoring of vehicles through ANTS website via user name and password whenever Internet is available. Polling via web/monitoring station- locating of vehicle on demand using Internet or via web. Polling via cellphone – locating of vehicles on demand using cell phones. Schedule Interval – Tracking vehicle by setting time interval. Alerts to web/monitoring station – Whenever an alarm is generated by the vehicle it will be displayed over the web. Alert to cellphone- whenever the vehicle generates an alarm authorized cellphones will be notified. Data storage – all reports generated by the vehicle can be stored up to 3 months at ANTS data center. Snail Trail – Viewing of historical routes of vehicles. Close user group – a group of users permitted to monitor assigned vehicle through username and password. SOS / Panic Button – Alarm button activated by the driver when in distress. Ignition on/off reporting – whenever ignition of engine is turned on or off an alert is generated. Over speeding – Whenever a speed threshold is exceeded an over speeding report or alert is generated. Back up battery- an optional battery for back up power of unit. Battery cut off alarm – whenever the main power source is cut off a report or alert is generated. Compartment tamper alarm/ passenger door alarm – A micro switch will be activated whenever the cover of an optional enclosure of the AVLS is opened or a passenger door is opened. Engine run time (daily) – It is the total accumulated time where the engine is on for the past 24 hours. Engine idle time (daily) – It is the total accumulated time where the engine is off or not used for the past 24 hours. |
Excessive idle – reports excessive engine idle time defined by client. The condition set is that the engine is on and the vehicle is not moving for specified time.
Harsh Brake – If the vehicle’s retardation is 15 KPH within 1 second, the system tags this as a harsh break activity and therefore sends a corresponding report to the web or to a designated cell phone if required. Accident alarm – Whenever there is a harsh brake alarm and the vehicle did not move for 10 minutes an accident alarm will be sent. NOGO alarm (area violation)/hotspot alarm – whenever a vehicle enters or exist a pre defined geo fencing area an alarm is generated. Yard in/ yard out alarm or Geo fencing- It is a define area where the client specify as their point of origin or headquarters. Kilometer run – Reports the estimated distance traveled by the vehicle. Reports can be generated on a daily basis. Antenna cut off alarm – whenever the GPS antenna is dismounted or detached from the AVLS unit it will send an alarm. Data log – (2,500) reports can be logged internally and can be downloaded via GPRS. No report zone – a client can define a geo fencing area where no report will be generated. Immobilize/ mobilize – engine can be remotely turned off as needed via SMS. Voice – voice call can be establish two way or just listen-in or eaves dropping. Alert – a signal (of some sort) that indicates a monitored parameter of the system is out of range, senor is triggered, switch is activated or button is activated or a pre program event is true. Alarm – Give warning of approaching danger or action. Ex. Accident alarm, antenna cut off alarm or the like. Report – String of information that includes longitude and latitude, speed, date and time, station of input output, rover identification and alarm or event station.
