Globe Visibility Signal Updates.

For my personal review of signal updates, see the list below. (This is what I remember, so far.)

Tip: If you are travelling, better set your connection settings to "3g preferred" rather than 3g only because you will pass areas that does not have 3g signals. From my experience, I can chat using Yehey messenger (yehey tol) from Manila to Tagaytay without interuptions.

Feedback on Globe Visibility

Im presently in Tagaytay using my Globe Visibility. Before i subscribed to it, i was expecting to complain and call a lot on their customer service hotline. to my surprise, i am contented with it. it was fast. when im on the second floor of the house, i can detect umts/hsdpa signal. but on the ground floor, i can only detect gprs signal.
it doesnt matter. its also fast enough for me. i tried downloading torrents but it was slow. anyway, what i really need was IM and web browsing.
just a feedback. :)

Globe 3g Hsdpa

I subscribed to Globe HSDPA April 2, last night i tried it, it was already activated.
I tried it in www.speedtest.net using several servers. i dont understand why the download speed is reaching 1,400 kbps. i find it impossible. anyway, the upload speed was only 40-50 kbps. you see the difference? thats why i find it impossible or shall i say, i dont understand.
since the download speed was 1,400kbps, i tried downloading torrents but, the download speed was only 4 kbps. what was the 1,400 kbps for? thats equivalent to 1.4 mbps.
My DSL at home registered 350 kbps for download and 200+ for upload.
anyway, that was using the 3g network. later, im going to another city outside of Manila and im going to try it there. I hope Globe fixes the roaming deals with other networks so when i leave the Philippines on weekends, i can use my hsdpa.
