3mm TV's!

Japan electronics giant Sony Corporation recently announced that it will launch the world's first OLED ultra thin flat television in December. Sony's OLED or organic light-emitting diode technology-based TVs will compete directly with Samsung and Toshiba models.
OLED's emissive electroluminescent layer is comprised of a film of organic compounds and is said to be more energy efficient and, unlike LCD, OLED doesn't require backlight to function.
The company first unveiled the prototype 11-inch OLED TV during the Consumer Electronics Show last January with a model featuring a native resolution of 1,024 by 600 pixels and using 8-bit per channel RGB color screen and offers a contrast ratio greater than a million-to-one contrast. Its all-white brightness is 200cdm, peaking at more than 600cdm.
Last May, it showed a video of a 2.5 inch flexible OLED screen, giving more proof of its seriousness in coming up with OLED TVs in the market.
The 11-inch OLED TV with an unbelievable size of only 3 mm will have a tag price of $1,740. Sony will package its upcoming OLED TVs as portable televisions.
But I bet, this would emit lots of negative ions that are not good for the human body. Im not sure though, they have to test it to prove it.
