While imitation might be the sincerest form of flattery, maybe all this is going just a bit too far. From the name to the design of the phone presented here, the Nokir E828 is a clone of the N73 and as expected, Nokia.

has nothing to do with producing this mobile phone.

At first sight, even if Nokir is written on the front of the handset, it can be easily interpreted as Nokia, since the font used makes an “R” look incredibly similar to the “A”.

Also, there’s no doubt about the fact that it looks exactly like the Nokia N73 and there probably isn’t any need to mention that the Nokir E828 comes from China.

The handset comes with a 2.6 inch touchscreen with a QVGA resolution, a 2 megapixel camera, Media player with support for MP3, MP4 and other file formats, Java games and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion.

One thing that the phone should have included and doesn’t is Bluetooth for connectivity. The N73 rip-off phone is also listed as featuring 3GP/MP4 full screen playback, voice recording, WAP, GPRS, Polyphonic on 64 channels ringtones with support for midi and MP3.

For the ones who are interested in getting a Chinese, touchscreen-equipped version of the Finish Nseries phone, apparently it is currently available through Hong Kong Gadget shop Brando with a price of $200, which is affordable enough to make you forget about the lack of Bluetooth.

Along with the phone, the user will get a Chinese manual, Spare battery, stereo handsfree and a 128MB Trans Flash memory card.

Seems a pretty frequent occurrence that the knockoffs pique our interest more than the originals (not to say there aren’t still others where that’s simply not the case). Take this here aptly-named “N73 PDA” for example: from a distance you’d pretty much swear up and down that it’s a Nokia N73, but look closer and you’ll observe a stylus of all things. Nifty, no? Look closer, still, and you’ll also notice an utter lack of 3G data, S60, and respect for copyright law — not to mention an unwanted cam downgrade from 3.2 to 1.3 megapixels. Nonetheless, the touchscreen is a fascinating addition, and the £109.99 price tag (about $215) is a steal compared to its Finnish doppelganger.

What can we say? more chinese knock offs! cant they do their own original??? it looks exactly the same, but im sure, it wont be as smooth as the original one.
