This new communicator is exciting old communicator owners because its one of the most complete, pda/mobile phone/ semi-laptop/ all around phone. Elegant business feel design makes it more sophisticated looking. Im sure, if its released in the Philippines, it will be around 45 thousand to 50 thousand pesos just like any other commies. if not, maybe around 35 to 40 when released and that will be the minimum.
To tell you the truth, im waiting for the e90 more than the iphone.

Acer Ferrari 1000; Entry-level Vertu; Dopod D810 - from www.yehey.com/gadgets
|
|||
What is it: A notebook definitely inspired by Scuderia Ferrari.
Who’s it for: The Ferrari dreamers and enthusiasts.
Wallet magnet: Incredibly cool Ferrari styling; powered by a 1.8GHz AMD Turion 64 x2, 1GHZ of RAM, 160GB hard disc drive; built-in rotating Webcam; plenty of ports and connections; a plethora of accessories, all with its own leather case; made of tough carbon fiber materials; ultra-portable.
On second thought: Short battery life (but an extended battery pack is included in the box); expensive (hey, remember, you’re buying a Ferrari here); thief magnet.
What’s in the box: Acer Ferrari 1000 plus a lot of stuff too many to mention.
Tech Times verdict: This is probably the most beautiful notebook we’ve seen and handled so far. Great specs. Great performance. Just like the real car.

|||
What is it: An entry-level Vertu model series.
Who’s it for: People who find the Vertu Signature series way out of their league.
Wallet magnet: Presicion craftsmanship; the sporty limited edition Racetrack Legends (photo) look and feel really great; pure elegance; pure status symbol.
On second thought: It may be the cheapest Vertu, yet prices start at P219,000.
What’s in the box: Vertu Ascent model; Vertu documention; rechargeable battery; power supply.
Tech Times verdict: The lowest-priced Vertu is still not that cheap.
Who’s it for: People who want to be constantly connected anytime, anywhere.
Wallet magnet: A number of wireless options including Wi-Fi and HSDPA; GPS for mapping and navigation; stylish black design; compact and lightweight; good battery life.
On second thought: Black casing is a fingerprint magnet; it lacks mapping software; no FM radio.

What’s in the box: Dopod (HTC) D810 PDA smartphone; CD drivers; leather holster; manual; power supply.
Tech Times verdict: Dopod—acquired recently by HTC—always works well in delivering smartphones. We hope HTC, a leading provider of Microsoft Windows Mobile smart handheld devices, will continue the same.

iPhone mania…
Two weeks before it hits the market, innumerable websites have been launched to discuss the iPhone, with names like iphonefreak.com and everythingiphone.com.
They are already handing out advice on how to camp out in front of stores which will be selling the iPhone, to ensure you are one of the first to get one.
AT&T, which is the sole telecoms carrier authorized for the iPhone, told AFP that it will go on sale on June 29 at 6 p.m. in its 1,800 stores—an unusual hour which could lead to a rapid sellout.
Apple itself will sell the iPhone at its 170 Apple Stores. Other electronics and cell-phone sellers could end up waiting weeks to get a supply.
Neither the high price—$499 or $599, depending on the model—nor the obligation to subscribe to a two-year phone contract with AT&T has shown any sign of discouraging fans.
Just Google the word “iPhone”: it got 71.6 million mentions on Thursday across the web, up from 64.4 million one day earlier.
A website name with “iPhone” in it was even being offered on eBay for $125,000.
Even though they have only seen photographs of the iPhone, many online are already speculating about any discounts, or discussing how they plan to take a day off from work when it’s released. The smallest rumor spreads like wildfire.
Most are hardcore devotees, and they outnumber the online camp pledging to never to buy it.
But in recent days the skeptics have grown, with more targeted criticisms, focused on the iPhone’s lack of a physical keyboard—the user will have to tap out text messages or key in a phone number on the virtual keyboard on the touch screen.
